Job Description
Are you ready to lead and deliver impactful marine infrastructure projects? McConnell Dowell is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take charge of our civil marine works, including projects such as jetties, piers, and wharves. This is your opportunity to shape key infrastructure while ensuring excellence in safety, environmental stewardship, and operational success.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first culture and environmental awareness among all project teams.
- Strategically plan and coordinate construction activities to meet milestones and exceed client expectations.
- Drive profitability through effective cost control, resource management, and operational excellence.
- Secure necessary permits and statutory approvals, ensuring full compliance with regulations and standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Select, manage, and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project success.
- Oversee the implementation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and maintain alignment with McConnell Dowell Management Systems.
- Lead contract administration, claims negotiation, and project reporting to ensure seamless delivery and financial transparency.
About You
- We are seeking a results-driven professional with:
- A degree in Civil Engineering and 10–15 years of project management experience in marine works (e.g., jetty, pier, wharf).
- A proven track record in delivering complex coastal and port projects on time and within budget.
- A hands-on leadership style that inspires teams and fosters a collaborative work environment.
- Availability to work an alternate 6-day work week.
