About us

At 41 hectares, Te Rapa is one of Fonterra’s largest manufacturing sites and makes enough product to fill 48.5 shipping containers each day! Our site produces whole and skim milk, instant whole milk powders along with cream, butter, pure dairy milk fat, cream cheese and frozen cream products. The Te Rapa factory processes up to 10 million liters of milk per day.

About the opportunity

Joining us as a L5 Forklift Operator – Stores person you’ll be joining a close-knit and high performing team who are on a continuous improvement journey. You’ll develop your skills within our large-scale operation and have exposure to many facets of our Fonterra NZ Manufacturing Stores network and projects. With your impeccable attention to detail your day will focus on receiving and receipting goods into the store, ensuring they are accurately recorded in ERP system and stored appropriately. There will also be forklift driving required on daily basis.

Other key responsibilities of the role include

• Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe and effective material handling and movement is obtained completing documentation accurately.
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholder on daily basis.
• Ensuring the accurate movement of all products throughout the stores.
• Demonstrating safe driving practices and following all health and safety measures.
• Contributing as a productive and positive member to our NZM stores.

About you

Working as part of a dedicated and high performing team you will have a strong focus on health and safety. We are looking for someone who is a pro-active self-starter with drive and ambition and preferably SAP experience.

• To be successful in this role you will have:
• Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills Mechanical aptitude and Leadership experience.
• Tech savvy computer skills ideally in Microsoft Office as well as inventory control (SAP) and warehouse management systems.
• Minimum 6 months Forklift experience with an F endorsement and current OSH certificate
• Experience working in a stores or warehouse is Preferable.
• A good dose of physical strength – our products are not always light and can weigh up to 25kg.
