Responsibilities

  • Operate specialized equipment – Safely operate trenchers, excavators, backhoes, and other machinery to meet project requirements.
  • Maintain equipment – Conduct daily inspections and promptly report necessary repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Meet production goals – Monitor and adjust performance to achieve production and utilization targets.
  • Follow environmental standards – Adhere to all environmental and legal regulations to ensure compliance with sustainable practices.
  • Work independently – Perform tasks effectively in remote outdoor environments while maintaining safety and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Experience – 2–5 years of machine operator experience; experience with trenchers is considered an asset.
  • Education – High school diploma required; general mechanical certifications or training preferred.
  • Skills – Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and maintenance, with proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Mindset – Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in diverse conditions.
