Net Maintenance Job in Huon Aquaculture, Australia
Job Description

Remuneration for this role is dependent on knowledge and/or experience. The main focus of this position is to assist the Nets Manager and Assistant Manager Nets with the repair, maintenance, and general work on fish and bird nets.
Additional duties include:
- Roping and stitching: Properly rope and stitch nets according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Splicing: Assist with splicing tasks as needed.
- Training and development: Participate in training sessions to improve your skills and knowledge.
- Predator monitoring: Monitor and report any predator activity, such as seals and birds, in the nets.
- Adhering to protocols: Follow all company policies, procedures, and biosecurity protocols.
- Site maintenance: Keep the site clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Risk assessments: Complete risk assessments and stay informed about Work Health and Safety regulations
About you
- Experience in a similar position within the aquaculture or marine farming industry is not essential but would be desirable.
- Valid Driver’s License or reliable mode of transport.
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time with attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player who can follow company policies and procedures.
