Job Description
The Public Works Department manages the daily operations, tasks, and projects related to summer road maintenance and municipal services in the Ontario region. In this role, you will support road maintenance, ditch and culvert upkeep, grass and weed control, construction activities, equipment maintenance, and emergency response services.
You will also interact with members of the public and provide assistance in a courteous and respectful manner.
Successful candidates will work 30 to 40 hours per week and must remain available to work weekends when required.
Position Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- You studied full-time during the previous academic year and plan to return to full-time studies in Fall 2026.
- You completed the 2025/2026 school term.
- You preferably hold a valid driver’s license (Class G or G2) issued in Ontario.
- You are between 16 and 30 years old.
- You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or hold refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- You are legally allowed to work in Canada.
- You can work days and weekends between April 1 and August 26, 2026 (dates may change).
