Job Description

A reputable company, H Systems (Pty) Ltd in South Africa, is hiring multiple Pick and Packer team members. The main objective of this position is to ensure the accurate selection and packing of products according to customer orders while following company procedures and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.

The role involves picking stock based on order lists, packing and wrapping items correctly, assisting with warehouse tasks, supporting drivers during deliveries, and complying with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience, a Grade 12 qualification, and practical knowledge of warehouse operations and ISO standards. Strong attention to detail, basic numerical skills, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently are important. A Code 8 driver’s license or forklift license will be considered an advantage.

Main Responsibilities

Pick and Packer Duties

• Pick stock accurately according to the picking list and customer orders.
• Check and confirm that the correct items have been selected.
• Record the required details such as name, date, weight, dimensions, and signatures on picking slips.
• Report any discrepancies or irregularities found during the picking process.
• Note and communicate any differences in product quantity or colour on the picking documentation.
• Complete all picking slips carefully and correctly.
• Pack items into the correct bin or storage areas.
• Wrap products properly to protect them during handling and transportation.
• Transfer the correct stock to the dispatch area.
• Prepare goods for shipment or delivery.
• Pack and load products onto vehicles according to company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse or picking and packing role.

Knowledge

• Ability to perform basic numerical calculations.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and best practices.
• Familiarity with ISO standards relevant to warehouse processes.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail when selecting and packing products.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.

Additional Advantages

• Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
• Valid Forklift operator license.
