Job Description

Fulton Hogan is currently seeking a general worker to join their team in New Zealand. The General Worker will be responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, manual labor, site clean-up, and equipment operation. Key Responsibilities of General Worker:

  • Assist with manual labor tasks as required.
  • Operate equipment under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Assisting routine cyclic maintenance teams. This work largely involves, signage, pothole repairs, on-call and emergency response activities.
  • Assisting traffic management teams including piloting, set out & stop / go tasks.
  • On site laboring including spotting of excavation works, measuring, testing, compacting etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Job:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • A high level of energy, motivation and maintain a good level of physical fitness.
  • A minimum of a full Class 1 licence, however a Class 2, W,T & R endorsements are beneficial.
  • This is a growth role, and so a keenness to develop your skills, knowledge and competency in road maintenance is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and able to perform your role within in a team context.
  • Be reliable, trustworthy, engaged at work.
  • Proactive around Health and Safety.
