Job Description

Responsibilities of Animal Caretaker:

• Provide daily care and attention to animals in our facility, including feeding, watering, and cleaning enclosures.
• Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to senior animal care staff.
• Clean and maintain animal enclosures, habitats, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
• Assist with the handling and restraint of animals during routine care procedures and veterinary examinations.
• Assist with the implementation of enrichment activities to promote mental and physical stimulation for the animals.
• Provide basic grooming and husbandry care for animals, including brushing, bathing, and nail trimming.
• Assist with the administration of medications or treatments as directed by senior animal care staff.
• Participate in training sessions to learn proper animal handling techniques and safety protocols.
• Assist with educational programs and public demonstrations to showcase animal behaviors and conservation efforts.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols regarding animal care and handling.

Requirements for Animal Caretaker:

• Previous experience working with animals in a professional or volunteer capacity preferred but not required.
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and conservation, with a desire to make a positive impact.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be willing to reside in company-provided accommodation.
• Valid work permit or residency visa in Abu Dhabi (if applicable).
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
