Our Structures team have a solid pipeline of exciting work in the Hawke’s Bay. We pride ourselves on delivering complex structural projects with progressive thinking, collaborative teamwork and a diverse skill set. We are delivering Civil infrastructure projects including Bridges, Water treatment facilities, large retaining structures and most things concrete and steel. In this role you will support our heavy civil team, we specialize in infrastructure construction, based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges and Wharves to Water Treatment Plants and Storage Tanks and Pipelines.
Carpenters will be ideally qualified with experience in formwork, retaining walls, wharves, abutments, piers, columns, concrete and steel.
Your main duties will include:
- Repair damaged structures, fitting prepared items into buildings
- Complete formwork (boxing) for structures
- Study and interpret building plans and drawings
- Liaise with your Foreman and Supervisor and other team members
- Operate handheld equipment including power tools needed for Carpentry work
We’re looking for someone with:
- At least 3 years of experience in a Carpentry role, ideally in the civil construction industry
- BCITO or equivalent, Carpentry or Construction qualification
- A Class 1 drivers’ license
- A positive attitude and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment
- A positive contribution to the team culture will a focus on continual improvement
- A willingness to learn and develop
