We’re seeking a Certified Electrician for our Prince George Sawmill, where you can utilize your Red Seal technical expertise, knowledge of PLCs and a couple years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. What are you waiting for
As a Certified Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels within the mill.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in machinery, sensors, transmitters, and other equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to enhance efficiency and precision in the mill processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with electrical systems.
- Identify and address electrical safety hazards within the mill environment to maintain a safe working atmosphere.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Prioritize and address critical electrical issues to ensure the continuous operation of sawmill equipment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate electrical repairs and maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to convey information about electrical systems and potential improvements.
For this role, we are looking for candidates who have:
- Red seal or Interprovincial TQ
- Strong background in PLCs setup and troubleshooting
- Solid background in heavy industry and construction
- The hourly rate for this position is: $48.88
