Job Description
Schurman Concrete, a division of OSCO Construction Group, is currently seeking a qualified individual for its Charlottetown, PEI location. The position available is for a full-time concrete Batcher/Dispatcher.The OSCO Construction Group is a collection of companies operating in steel, concrete and construction. We have been in business since 1955 and serve a variety of markets throughout Atlantic and Western Canada, the Eastern US, and the Caribbean.
Responsibilities
- Batching concrete using a computerized batching system
- All stages of dispatching including but not limited to:
- Customer service
- Product quality
- Inventory control
- Managing production scheduling, planning and reporting
- Assisting with the supervision of staff, including driver scheduling
- Initiating and maintaining a healthy environment with respect to cleanliness, production and safety
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Work hard to provide superior customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, always changing, deadline driven
environment. - Multi-tasking is very important in the role.
- Computer skills and experience is required.
- Must be able to work with changing schedules and irregular hours when required
- An understanding of concrete and/or the construction industry would be considered an
asset, but isn’t required.
Pay:
$22-23/hour
