Job Description
The Container Load Out Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the process of loading containers for shipment. The successful applicant will be working closely with warehousing, logistics and transport providers to ensure timely and accurate container loadouts. Hours of work: 6am to 3pm with some flexibility required for occasional overtime.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure co-ordination of cartooned product in store against shipping contracts and consolidation requirements
- Understand internal and external food safety and quality requirements, and how these apply to your team
- Ensure shipping instruction requirements are met by well-planned and controlled loading of product in containers
- Contribute to further development of team culture and goals
- Champion continuous improvement and encourage team members to find new ideas to improve work practices
About You
The successful candidate will be experienced in container load out or dispatch best practice within a large-scale distribution environment and have ideally worked within the food manufacturing industry. They will have experience in inwards and outwards goods, shipping, export loading; and have a sound working knowledge of industry regulatory requirements.
While prior leadership experience is preferable, we are also keen to hear from people who have had experience in a cold store or warehousing environment and are keen to step into a leadership role as part of their career development. As part of this, we would support you with coaching and training as part of Silver Fern Farms Frontline Leadership program.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution/export loading in a coordinator or previous leadership role
- Broad-based experience or sound knowledge of Logistical and export practices and policies with an emphasis on Load out services
- Proficient computer literacy including WMS systems, RF scanning and the MS suite
- Solutions focused problem solving in a fast-paced environment
