What you’ll do:

You’ll play a vital role as Driver Trainer at Visy Logistics leading in-depth training, safety, and compliance assessments while ensuring consistent processes and training methods are implemented across Queensland. Your focus will be on meeting the operational needs while driving safety and excellence. This is your opportunity to make an impact in an innovative, fast-paced environment.   • Conduct driving assessments annually to meet Visy standards and identify training needs
  • Create and deliver training programs for drivers based on Visy Logistics’ standards
  • Accurately record all training and assessments in the Learning Management System
  • Continuously assess driver skills, including CoR awareness, and provide training, monitoring, and support
  • Manage training schedules, including refresher training sessions
  • Promote safe practices for vehicles, equipment, and work systems
  • Support the operations team with incident investigations
  • Collaborate with teams such as Logistics Management, Fleet Controllers, Operations, Compliance, and Recruitment
  • Handle general administrative tasks like data entry, compliance reporting, and maintaining system accuracy

To be considered you must have:

  • Certificate IV Trainer and Assessor
  • Completion of TLIF0005 & TLIF0006 Fatigue Management
  • Current Heavy Vehicle Driver License – MC with considerable experience in driving operations
  • In depth knowledge of Road Rules, heavy vehicle national law requirements for drivers and Chain of Responsibility
  • Strong commitment and understanding of OH&S legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel and experience with safety management systems
  • Excellent communication skills: Written, verbal, reporting & presentations
  • A calm and patient approach with the ability to work under pressure
