Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment
  • Follow all safety and food safety policies and procedures;
  • Analyze, inspect, repair, troubleshoot, advise and maintain electrical systems throughout Cavendish Farms facility including all production and facility equipment;
  • Day to day maintenance of equipment;
  • Trouble shooting, preventive and predictive maintenance;
  • Involvement in projects and new equipment installations;
  • Participation in or conducting training on familiarity with equipment.
  • Be willing and able to learn all aspects of the business inside of all departments;
  • Communicate with production personnel and technical staff within maintenance and suppliers;
  • Installations of other electrical/electronic-related functions

Qualifications

  • Must possess Industrial Red Seal/ Block Electrician Certificate.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the electrical field
  • Experience in instrumentation and/or electronics would be considered an asset;
  • Familiarity with CMMS would be considered an asset
  • Previous PLC experience, including installation and troubleshooting preferred
  • Ability to work all rotation shifts, weekends and overtime as required
  • Willing and able to work in various work environments i.e. heat, cold, wet, etc.
  • Ability to work with a minimum supervision
