West-Can Seal Coating Inc. (West-Can) is a privately owned road infrastructure company specializing in pavement preservation and roadway construction across Western Canada. West-Can Seal Coating Inc. has been in business for over 35 years. As one of the largest pavement preservation companies in Western Canada, West-Can operates offices located in Didsbury and Bruderheim (Alberta) and Brandon (Manitoba). These divisions provide services in Asphalt Milling, Pulverizing, Grading, various Pavement Preservation services along with Liquid Asphalt Manufacturing. For more information on the company,
Core Responsibilities:
- Complete and record pre use inspection of all units/equipment operated
- Report any excessive wear, fluid consumption, defective parts
- Track and report preventative maintenance requirements
- Maintain all lubrication intervals (hourly/daily/weekly/etc.)
- Work safely, observe right of ways and overhead clearances
- Complete tasks as required/requested by site supervisor
- Manual labor may be required
- Active participation in health and safety program, compliance with all workplace safety policies,
- procedures, acts, and regulations
Requirements:
- Previous road construction experience required
- Ability to work extended hours, including overtime and seven days a week
- Willingness to travel and spend extended time away from home, including out of province work
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Class 5 or greater driver’s license, commercial transportation license considered an asset (Class
- 1/3)
- Standard First-Aid level C with CPR/AED is an asset
