Job Description

Chandler Macleod organization is looking for farm Worker to join their team at Ashburton in Canterbury, New Zealand. The ideal candidate has ability to engage in physically demanding tasks and manual handling with meticulous attention within the community. Candidates have ability to work 3-5 hours Monday to Saturday within the farm. This temporary position offers a competitive salary range is $33-$35 per hour. Applicants must have previous outdoor laboring experience including the use of hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities of Farm Worker:

  • Candidate is responsible for clearing land and preparing the site for installation.
  • Ability to assist in the assembly and installation of solar panels.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks and manual hand with meticulous attention.
  • Capability for general site cleaning and laboring duties including using hand and power tools.

Ideal Requirements of Farm Worker:

  • Candidates have previous outdoor laboring experience including the use of hand and power tools.
  • It must have built construction foundations passport.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment mobility in assessment of alcohol and drug screening.
  • Ability to preform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
