Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager and based in Yatala, the Fleet Supervisor for linehaul operations will possess exceptional operational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and manage relationships effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who excels in an autonomous, fast-paced environment. What you’ll do

  • Oversee a team of drivers to ensure daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling and allocation is timely and accurate
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, customers, and drivers
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and customers around planning, runs, and delays
  • Conduct proactive assessments of operations with the aim of enhancing efficiency
  • Manage and monitor payroll, driver’s performance, leave entitlements, and truck servicing
  • Load planning & optimization via solid analytical skills with the ability to systemically plan resources
  • Recognize opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins through P&L accountability
  • Proactively managing sub-contractors and associated costs

What You Will Bring

  • Prior experience in a similar Fleet Controller or Supervisor role within the Transport and Logistics industry
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S, CoR & NHVR legislation
  • SAP, MT DATA, WMS & TMS knowledge is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and challenging linehaul or metro environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships internal and externally
