Forklift Mechanic Operator Required in Visy, Australia

The opportunity:

We are seeking a Mobile Technician to join our Visy Logistics team based out of our Coolaroo site. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 7am to 3.30pm with opportunities for overtime. Reporting to the Service Manager at our Coolaroo plant, your role will play a significant part in the company’s growth and overall success by delivering quality service, whilst performing scheduled maintenance and safety & function checks to our forklift machinery. Further to this your duties will include;

• Perform mechanical activities to repair, maintain and service our Forklift machinery across our Coolaroo site.
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics tasks.
• Attend to machine breakdowns.
• Organizing of parts and inventory.
• Administration on scheduled works.
• Champion safety awareness and ensure all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are complied with.

What you will bring to the team:

As our new Mobile Technician, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience from a similar background as either a field service or workshop-based mechanic within the forklift industry.

• As a minimum you will hold either a Mechanic Trade Certificate level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience with service and repairs to Forklifts is essential
• Current full drivers license essential and forklift license is a bonus.
• You’ll have an exceptional ability for fault finding and diagnostics, and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work autonomously.
• Maintain and uphold company’s safety policies and procedures.
