General Cleaner Job in Canada, Maple Leaf Foods is hiring an entry-level General Cleaner at its Prepared Meats Plant in Port Perry, Ontario. The Role

Maple Leaf Foods at 15350 Old Simcoe Rd., Port Perry, ON, is accepting applications for an entry-level General Cleaner position.

The position is within our Prepared Meats Plant. The plant specializes in baked good products such as quiche, meat pies, shepherd’s pies, dips, and breakfast bites.

Reason for vacancy: Existing Headcount.

Duties May Include

• Chemical awareness.
• Dismantling, cleaning by prescribed methods, and reassembling production equipment.
• General cleaning of all plant areas as required.
• Assisting production operations in any way as required.
• Maintaining cleanliness in areas of responsibility.
• Cross-training opportunities in other departments and job functions.
• Adhering to Product, Food Safety Quality Assurance, and Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday.
• Rotating shifts (days/afternoons).
• Approximate shift times are:
  • 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
  • 4:00 pm – 12:30 am.
• Occasional overtime opportunities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and repetitive task environment.
• Physically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Willingness to adhere to all hygienic and food safety requirements in the plant.

Please note that completion of a High School Diploma is not required to be successful in this position.
