Responsibilities
Guest Rooms
- Clean and tidy guest rooms on a daily basis
- Make beds, dust surfaces, vacuum, and mop floors
- Replace used towels and replenish guest amenities
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, and mirrors
- Check appliances such as TVs, air conditioning, and kettles
- Ensure correct linen, pillows, and amenities are provided
- Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly
Public Areas
- Clean reception areas, hallways, stairways, and assigned outdoor areas
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste correctly
Laundry & Stock
- Collect, sort, and handle dirty linen
- Restock housekeeping trolleys and storerooms daily
- Monitor cleaning supply levels and report restocking needs
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Physically capable of performing cleaning duties
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to work in person at the Takapuna motel
- Willingness to work full-time, part-time, or casual hours
