Main Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient way.
• Inspect guestrooms every day.
• Prepare work assignments based on rooms requiring immediate cleaning and expected check-outs.
• Check stock levels and make sure adequate supplies are available.
• Supervise inspection programs for guestrooms and public spaces.
• Ensure employees have the correct supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Communicate areas requiring attention and follow up with employees.
• Ensure housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures are followed.
• Attend departmental meetings and communicate departmental goals clearly.
• Monitor operations against budgeted goals and objectives.

Staff Training and Human Resources Duties

This position also includes important employee management responsibilities. The housekeeping professional will use available training tools to train new room attendants and provide follow-up training when needed.

The role includes employee scheduling, time and attendance tracking, performance feedback, recognition, and staffing supervision. The candidate must maintain open and collaborative relationships with employees and ensure company policies are applied fairly and consistently.
