Lead, Mechanic Job in StandardAero, USA

Job Description

Highly proficient with in depth knowledge of engine/module and component induction, kitting and assemble, inspection and dismantle Expertise with technical documents and manuals and acts as a resource to other mechanics Guides and trains other levels of mechanics May have contact with customers

Pre-requisite:

  • Mechanical and or aviation experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Essential job functions are the fundamental duties of a position: the things a person holding the job absolutely must be able to do:

Induction/Dismantle of Engine/Components

  • Set up engine/component into work area
  • Complete check in process – reviewing documentation
  • Identifying the status of the engine/component and determine if any outstanding modification or airworthiness directive need to be incorporated
  • De-stack/disassemble engine, modules, components and/or accessories
  • Record and take measurements while dismantling, document with pictures as required
  • Prepare parts to get cleaned and repaired, clean parts as required

Balance as required

  • Inspects the parts determining if they are able to be repaired or replaced
    Route repairable parts to appropriate area
    Place order for parts required
    Kit and Assemble Engines/Modules
  • Ensures all parts required are ready and available for assembly of the engine or component
    Assemble complete engines, modules, components and/or assemblies
    Final release process – checking product for compliance
    Follow Manuals and Technical Data
  • Uses maintenance manuals and specifications to determine proper operating conditions
    Reads technical specifications to identify product discrepancies and deficiencies
    Verifying the conformance of parts to manuals and blueprints
  • Assists leader with production flow and work schedules
    Act as back up to leader
    Provides support and guidance to group and able to troubleshoot issues/problems
    Must meet US Persons requirements per ITAR.
