We are currently seeking qualified, experienced Loader Operators, residing in Australia to join our growing Heavy Drilling Rigs teams working 2&2 rosters.   • What will you be doing?
  • The Loader Operator is responsible for operating the loader on site for the Rigs. This position will also assist with day-to-day basic operations, maintenance and cleaning on the rig.

You’ll be typically:

  • Carrying out pre-start checks and operating/driving a Front-End Loader
  • Loading & unloading trucks
  • Setting out all necessary work signage as per a Traffic Control Plan
  • Undertaking routine services & minor repairs to the Loader
  • Carrying out basic housekeeping on the Rig

What Experience

  • A Front-End Loader Ticket & Certificate of Competency
  • An understanding of servicing/maintaining rig engines & equipment;
  • A positive attitude towards safety, policies & procedures;
  • Have the full right to live and work in Australia
  • The ability to work outdoors, in remote locations
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • The ability to work long hours and in extreme weather conditions
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Able to follow directions and company policies
  • Must be able to complete on job and other training within allocated time
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Valid open and manual full C (Car) Class driver’s license
  • Awareness of Chain of Responsibility Regulations
  • A general knowledge of machinery is considered to be an asset
  • Must be a team player, good communicator, have sound safety appreciation, time management and competent computer skills
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons; 12 hours a day, for extended periods away from home location. Vigorous manual labor required
  • Clean National Police Clearance Record (less than 1 month old)

Exceptional candidates:

  • Industry Safety Induction (or DCGI with current industry experience)
  • First response to fire incidents (less than 4 years old)
  • Operate Breathing Apparatus (less than 1 year old)
  • First Aid (including CPR) (less than 3 years old)
  • Wellsite Permit to Work (Holder) (less than 2 years old)
  • Working at Heights with Gotcha Kit (less than 3 years old)
  • Operate Vehicles in the Field (4WD certificate) (less than 5 years old)
