Job Description

Huon Aquaculture Group Ltd. produces around 36,000 tonnes of fresh Atlantic salmon and ocean trout annually and is recognized globally as being a premium producer of fresh and smoked salmon products. THE OPPORTUNITY

Based at our Hideaway Bay site, near Dover, our Net Cleaners are responsible for operating specialist equipment to target areas of our nets that need cleaning.

ABOUT YOU

You will possess a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, well-developed communication skills and be physically fit. Experience in a similar role or an understanding of fish farming and record keeping is desirable but not essential. This position also requires applicants to be available to work a 7 days on, 7 days off roster. A restricted coxswain’s licence and experience operating remote operated equipment is desirable but not essential.

Due to the remote nature of our site and limited public transport, it is a requirement of this role that you hold a valid driver’s licence. A copy of your driver’s licence must be submitted upon application.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
