We are currently seeking a Maintenance and Operations Technician to join our team at the Middleton, PEI blending facility. What you’ll be responsible for

  • As a Maintenance and Operations Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Here’s what you’ll be accountable for:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery, tools, and buildings to minimize downtime.
  • Issue Reporting: Identify and communicate urgent repair needs to the Site Supervisor quickly and accurately.
  • Operational Support: Provide day-to-day support to the Site Supervisor to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
  • Safety: Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Production Efficiency: Oversee the blending facility’s operations to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Physical Work: Perform exterior labor in varying weather conditions and work at heights when necessary.
  • Heavy Lifting: Safely lift and move items up to 40 lbs (18 kg) as part of daily operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to solve problems and maintain smooth production flow.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts and skid loaders (if licensed) to support facility operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and help find ways to make operations more efficient.

  • Bonus Skills: A Class 3A license and experience operating forklifts and skid loaders would be a strong asset.
