The Position:

  • We are currently seeking Plant Operators (Dozer & Excavator) to join our WA based team in delivering end to end fiber optic communication network builds and offer the following:
  • Permanent full-time position with an immediate start
  • Rewarding hourly rates of pay + penalties for overtime & LAFHA
  • 19 days on, 9 days off work roster
  • Pilbara based work
  • Large pipeline of work, currently scheduled into 2026
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • The plant operator (dozer & excavator) will have the ability to operate vehicles/plant such as Caterpillar dozers (D7, D9, D10) & excavators (1.7T to 35T). Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Plant Operator will be responsible for:
  • Project delivery utilising plant & equipment in rural & remote areas
  • Installation of fibre optic cable networks utilising dozer ploughing techniques
  • Installation of pit & pipe networks including long haul fibre optic cable installation
  • Driving light & heavy vehicles
  • Conducting daily pre-start vehicle & equipment checks
  • Maintaining a clean & safe work site

Essential Skills/Requirements:

  • Dozer Operator Ticket
  • Excavator Operator Ticket
  • HR driving license
  • Construction Induction (Blue/White Card)
  • A pro-active view to OH&S
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans & DBYD drawings
  • Collaborate with a diverse range of professionals on-site to achieve project goals
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and client requirements

Desirable Skills:

  • HC driving license
  • First Aid & CPR
