The Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Controlling pests and vermin
  • Operating farming equipment
  • Preparing and cleaning sheds, equipment, and spreading litter for new bird placement
  • Setting up for depopulation and cleanout
  • Catching/holding birds and other aspects of bird handling and welfare activities
  • General maintenance of poultry farm grounds
  • Cleaning, disinfecting (sanitizing) equipment, machines, and buildings within farm confines
  • Dismantling farm equipment as needed
  • Collecting, grading, and storing eggs according to company specifications
  • Performing vaccinations as required
