Boddington is one of the largest gold producers in Australia, is the world’s first open pit Gold Mine to successfully implement Autonomous Haulage, and the first deep pit globally to achieve productive autonomous haulage. We are seeking an energetic and results-driven leader to join our AHS Mining Operations team based on site at Boddington. As the Mine Daily Plan and Scheduling Supervisor, you will be supporting the Mining team by implementing best practices in the Mine Control Room and ensuring compliance with our weekly and monthly mine plans.

Your role will collaborate across all areas of the mining operation to maximize the effective use of mine technology solutions, with a central focus on the safe and efficient operation of the autonomous haulage fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily execution planning team to ensure compliance with the weekly and monthly mine plan.
  • Coach team members in the effective management and optimization of the Autonomous Mining Fleet.
  • Interface across all areas of the mining operation to maximize the effective use of mine technology solutions with the focus on the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.
  • Provide leadership and direction to diverse, cross-functional, multi-vendor technology teams in delivering on the technology roadmap.
  • Provide direct coaching and mentoring of the Mine Control team to deliver efficient use of Autonomy on site to global best-practice standards.
  • Evaluate system configuration options to resolve the best setup for the site to achieve goals and provide training to ensure consistent operations across all teams.
  • Ensure key safety and efficiency performance indicators are achieved.
  • Align site processes to global standard methodologies and head the change process to update as needed.
  • Facilitate the transfer of mining systems knowledge to site-based leadership.
  • Drive and support cross-site collaboration with peers to ensure alignment and transfer of knowledge across the business.
  • Provide input into the deployment of technology solutions at the site level.

About you

You will have a tertiary qualification in a related mining, technology, management, or engineering field, and detailed working knowledge of developing and executing mine plans.
Your significant experience in autonomous mine control rooms and proficiency operation and application with Fleet Management Systems such as MineStar, Modular or similar dispatch systems, including considerable experience in the Caterpillar Command Autonomous Haulage operations.

A logical decision maker, you will be capable of, prioritizing workload and outcomes, and achieving target results through teamwork amidst complex and evolving priorities. Your strong interpersonal and engagement skills, with a proven ability to resolve challenging situations and prior experience in leading high-performing teams will be crucial for your success in this role.
