Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklift.
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Use forklift to place pallets/boxes near running equipment in tight quarters.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
  • All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Forklift license would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • High degree of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task.
  • Mechanical aptitude and previous experience in farm operations would be an asset.
  • A keen understanding of the load and operational limitations of a forklift.
  • Willing to help in other areas if needed.
