Job Description

Wormald have been servicing, designing and installing fire protection systems since 1889 and are the world’s leading provider of fire protection solutions with an excellent reputation and firmly established global. Our vehicle systems department installs and maintains Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems fitted to heavy machinery for the mining industry. Due to continuing growth Wormald are currently looking for a Trainee Field Service Technician to join our growing team to perform the installation and service requirements for our vehicle systems department in Perth and regional WA. We will train and mentor you in the role and provide you with a CPP20511 Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing. All we need is a person who has the drive to learn and progress.

You will be responsible for

  • Maintaining the Company’s high standard of workmanship and service standards.
  • On site representation and maintenance of the vehicle fire suppression systems.
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reporting.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments.

To be successful in this role

  • A current driver’s license.
  • Possess a safety focus and abide by safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Some mechanical or electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Self-motivated
  • The position will require the successful candidate to be available to participate in the rostered works and be available to travel to regional surrounding areas from time to time.
