Job Description

A Station Hand, or Farm Hand, performs a variety of tasks on a large agricultural property, including livestock care, machinery operation, maintenance, and general labor, with duties varying based on the type of station and time of year. The Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) is Australia’s largest integrated cattle and beef producer, specializing in grass-fed, grain-fed, and Wagyu beef production. Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete general station maintenance.
  • Mustering, drafting, and trucking of cattle.
  • Vehicle and machinery operations.
  • Safely perform your job and take responsibility for your safe work behaviour.
  • Use of horses and motorbikes.
  • Feed supplement distribution.
  • Chemical Handling as required.
  • Maintain accurate recording keeping.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous horse-riding experience.
  • Current Driver’s license and motorbike license.
  • Livestock handling experience.
  • Q Fever Vaccination.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
