Job Description
The Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) is Australia’s largest integrated cattle and beef producer, specializing in grass-fed, grain-fed, and Wagyu beef production. Established back in 1824, we’ve been doing this a while – in fact, we’re Australia’s oldest continuously operating company. We’ve had plenty of time to figure out how to be the best workplace we can be, with all the support, training, and opportunity you need to shape your career how you want to. We’re dedicated to acknowledging our history even as we look to sustainably feed the future – and we’d love you to join us.
Due to an internal promotion, we’re seeking a Station Manager for our Diagonally and Carrum properties in North Queensland. This role is based at Diagonally Station, located 80 km north of Julia Creek and 189 km north-east of Cloncurry. Diagonally is a vital part of our cattle operations network, focused on breeding F1s and PB Wagyu’s to support our premium beef production.
You’ll also oversee Carrum Station, which is essential to our bull production for the Northern Business Units. Carrum supports the Mitchell Bull and Wagyu Fullblood breeding program by backgrounding and growing out replacement bulls, involving significant data collection, semen testing, and bull selection.
