Job Description

The Ballarat Prepared Foods Plant is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join the Frontline Leadership team. Our 24/6 operation runs over three fixed shift patterns—day, afternoon, and night. We’re looking for a Shift Supervisor with the flexibility to work one of these shifts.

Accountabilities:

  • Champion, coach, and improve H&S culture and ensuring compliance within your team.
  • Take a ‘hands on’ approach to developing a strong production team, leading the team through positive role modelling and influence.
  • Have a working knowledge of cost, and create opportunities to improve direct cost and overhead results.
  • Be completely immersed in MDI and provide the leadership that the team requires to implement and sustain improvements.
  • Accountability for food safety and quality specification requirements of all production from the shift.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry and leadership qualifications and experience
  • Experience with Manufacturing Processes, Safety, GMP, HACCP, Environment and Quality Systems
  • Verifiable mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of computer applications (SAP, Microsoft Windows).

Skills:

  • Good people and communication skills across multiple departments and all levels of personnel.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow documentation and comply with an employer’s policies, procedures and codes
  • Demonstrated ability as a team player with good organizational, people and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to meet operational demands
