Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer, experienced in Windows Server, Active Directory, M365 and Entra ID, networking, system security etc, but also with skills and enthusiasm for two specialties: Engaging with our Manufacturing and Engineering staff across multiple sites to design, optimize and support factory-based manufacturing support systems. Application Engineering, helping to support our primary ERP system from a systems perspective. Specialist Responsibilities

  • Liaison with Engineering staff across our sites to understand their requirements and roadmap
  • Evangelizing supportable, secure solutions that meet the needs of the business
  • Actively working with site staff and 3rdparties to implement and support manufacturing solutions
  • Day-to-day system support of our M3 ERP
  • User security administration within M3
  • Preparing us for migrating M3 into the Cloud
  • Ad hoc data maintenance using SQL

General Responsibilities

  • System Management: Maintain and manage our systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability and top-level performance.
  • Technical Changes: Plan, document, and execute technical changes while following our Change Management process.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, providing support to other IS teams when needed.
  • Project Contribution: Play a key role in planning and implementing projects to improve services or introduce new technologies.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in rostered on-call support outside of business hours, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Tier 3 Technical Support: Provide escalation support for our Service Desk team and your peers in your specialties.

What will you bring?

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant field, with at least 3 years of industry experience.

Expertise in administering and supporting:
  • Microsoft Windows Server Operating System
  • Active Directory
  • IP networking
  • Storage (NetApp) and some experience with virtualization, preferably VMware
  • PowerShell cripting

Experience with Incident, Request, and Change management in an Operations role.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholder

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with manufacturing industry applications.
  • Experience with supporting large database-based applications.
  • Experience with M365 tenant administration, network management tools, and router/firewall administration.
