  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver palletized freight, and hand unload deliveries in the Inner Suburbs and surrounding areas.
  • Maintain professionalism while picking up and delivering freight.
  • Securely load, unload, and transport freight in line with safety regulations.
  • Follow scanning, Proof of Delivery procedures, and TGE’s OH&S policies.
  • Manage consignment paperwork, manifests, and notes at pickup points.
  • Ensure freight is packaged safely and effectively.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills with a dedication to excellent customer service.
  • Current and valid HC or HR license required.
  • Current Forklift License (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 2 years in freight pick-up and delivery, including general and express freight.
  • Physically fit for hand unloading deliveries.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Radio Communications Systems.
  • Knowledge of Load Restraint Systems & Equipment.
  • Understanding of National Transport Commission’s Load Restraint Guidelines.
  • Ability to pass medical, background, and drug & alcohol tests.
