Job Description

Whiteman Ironworks Limited is the largest open shop commercial fabricator/erector in Western Canada. We are a fully integrated steel fabricator and erector that specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel projects in the commercial sector. We are recognized as an industry leader. Due to our reputation, we have grown substantially over the past 25+years with established offices and constructions crews in BC and AB and three fabrication facilities across Alberta totaling over 400,000 square feet.

Who we are looking for:

• Ticketed journeyman or registered apprentice
• Valid CWB SMAW all position ticket required
• CWB FCAW all position ticket is an asset
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with structural steel projects
• Experience with commercial projects is an asset
• Takes safety as your number one priority
• Reliable and willing to work as a team with others

They key duties of this position include

• Read, understand and follow instruction drawings and weld procedures
• Weld structural and miscellaneous carbon steel using SMAW or FCAW all positions
• Work at heights as required.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we are unable to sponsor international candidates.
• Full-time, Permanent
• Pay: $24.00-$44.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience

• License/Certification:
• Fall Protection and AWP Certification? (required)
• SMAW CWB TICKET? (required)
• FCAW Certification (preferred)
