About the role

  • As the Workforce Optimization Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to design, implement, and enhance workforce planning and resourcing strategies for the Passenger Services workforce. This role is critical in overseeing the efficient management of Resourcing across Passenger Services, alongside the day-to-day rostering operations.
  • Reporting into the Head of Resourcing and Contracting, you will be responsible for delivering key outcomes that ensure alignment between operational practices and organizational design, while supporting the company’s goals, values, and commitment to both passengers and employees. Additionally, the manager ensures compliance with relevant regulations and implements cost-effective workforce management strategies.

Your strengths will include

  • Extensive experience in managing workforce operations within large-scale, high-volume environments. Including the end-to-end cycle of workforce activities, all aligned with best practice workforce optimization principles and processes to align with and support organizational goals.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in fostering a high performance and collaborative culture.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with track record building and maintaining strategic partnerships and advisory relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to collaborate, influence and collectively solve challenges.
  • Highly skilled in collecting, analyzing, and presenting workforce data within large-scale environments to inform decision-making and drive performance improvements based on commercial insights and actionable recommendations.
  • In-depth knowledge of interpreting enterprise agreements and franchise agreements to ensure operational compliance, safety, payroll compliance, and adherence to scheduling rules.
  • High level of business acumen, with a proven track record of working closely with operations, finance, and legal teams.
