- As a Mower Operator at Serco, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards of turf and lawn care for the City of Melbourne. You’ll work as part of a skilled team to ensure public spaces are safe, clean, and visually appealing. This is a hands-on, full-time role based in Melbourne with weekday hours.
As a Mower Operator, you’ll make a positive impact by:
- Carrying out mowing and brush cutting in line with contract specifications and schedules
- Removing rubbish and debris before starting work to ensure clean and safe operations
- Maintaining and operating plant, vehicles, and equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Reporting equipment defects and completing accurate records for maintenance and compliance
- Contributing to operational improvements through Kaizen-Lean projects

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- A current driver’s license (Light/Medium Rigid License desirable)
- Working With Children’s Check
- An understanding of horticultural machinery operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Awareness of OHS&E practices, including manual handling and traffic management
- A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
