We are currently recruiting for a Process Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) – You will work an 8:6:7:7 roster so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the lifestyle this area can offer you.

What you will be doing:

As a Maintenance Technician with Newmont, you will be required to monitor and maintain equipment in a large fixed plant process mining environment to ensure we achieve safe milling production targets of 41MTPA. You will be repairing and maintaining components in the following areas of the Process Plant.

  • Filtering
  • Reagents
  • Carbon in Leach Circuit
  • Carbon Regeneration
  • Elution
  • Water Services
  • PM inspections in all areas
  • Operation of plant equipment (EWP/Forklift/Overhead Crane/Dogging/Basic Rigging/Hiab)

Who you are:

  • Mechanical Fitting or a Fabrication Trade Certificate with a mechanical background or aptitude
  • A minimum of two years maintenance experience in a large process plant environment
  • Communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Computer skills
  • Exposure to CMMS (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and environment for the mining industry
  • High Risk License: forklift, elevated work platform, dogging/rigging (preferred)
  • Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights (preferred)
  • Current “C” Class Drivers License.
