Job Description

Reporting to the IFSL Project Warehouse Manager, the Project Warehouse Technician will support the procurement team and project engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to apply their previous experience with a background in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation to support the team working on the Next Gen project located at the Irving Pulp & Paper Mill. Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with all warehouses, warehouse laydown areas and Project site laydown areas.
  • Work with Project Managers to coordinate materials arriving and leaving warehouses and job site.
  • Coordinate and load/unload construction materials at designated warehouses.
  • Documentation including warehouse data log sheets, shipping documents, inventory documents, bill of ladings, packing slips and other important documentation.
  • Assist with spare parts management.
  • Assemble and break down pallets, boxes & crates using hand tools and small power tools and deliver as required.
  • Maintain warehouses as required including general tidying/cleaning and assisting with the coordination of warehouse building maintenance.
  • Deliver small loads to Project sites.

Qualifications

  • Two years post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A mechanical, electrical or instrumentation background would be an asset.
  • Safety oriented
  • Trained to operate a forklift and telehandler.
  • Crane & Rigging experience would be considered an asset.
  • Class 5 Drivers license required
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power point)
  • Ability to read construction drawings would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
