Key Responsibilities of Head Chef:
- Develop and maintain a creative and innovative menu that meets the needs and preferences of their guests.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items to ensure high quality and consistency.
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
- Monitor food costs and inventory levels to achieve budgetary goals.
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to plan and execute special events and promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into the menu.
Eligibility Criteria for Head Chef:
- Proven experience as a head chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
- Ability to manage a team and work well under pressure.
- Creative and innovative approach to menu planning.
- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience.
